Free Notion Templates

Today I share with you free Notion templates.

Undoubtedly, Notion is a powerful tool that can help you stay organized and make progress on your projects.

In other words, with the right templates, you create a workspace where it’s easy to keep your notes, track tasks, plan projects, and more.

All in one place.

However, it’s pretty challenging to create a Notion workspace that suits your lifestyle.

Because everyone has unique needs and preferences, it’s so time-consuming to create a workspace that works.

In other words, there’ll be definitely a lot of trials and errors before you come up with this one and only one Notion dashboard.

To make your life easier, I designed Notion templates you’re able to customize in a quick and simple way.

Not only do you save time and energy, but you also avoid feeling overwhelmed.

Also, I share with you some tips and tricks on how to customize each template to fit your individual needs.

So without further ado, check out these Notion template ideas to get started.

Free Notion Templates – Dashboard

First and foremost, let’s start with the dashboard.

Generally, the very first page you see includes links to separate pages.

However, in this case, you immediately have access to a daily planner page.

Before we dive in into a daily log, I have to mention a dedicated space for your random thoughts and ideas.

Indeed, having the most basic page where you’re able to jot them immediately down is a real lifesaver.

Instead of cluttering your brain, you can free your mind in a matter of seconds.

As a result, you avoid distractions and can easily move to your daily schedule.

Speaking of a daily schedule, this dashboard features:

  • today’s date
  • daily reminder (great for affirmation or intention)
  • monthly goals (to keep them always in sight)
  • time-blocking schedule
  • short to-do list
  • actionable tasks, broken down into the smallest steps
  • “don’t forget” notes
  • reminder for urgent things

Last but not least, you’ll get color-coded access to the following pages:

  • tasks
  • weekly checklist
  • weekly review
  • monthly budget
  • journal
  • goal planner

Now let’s move on to a daily planner layout.

Free Notion Templates – Daily Planner

Let’s spend a few minutes, analyzing this daily planner layout.

As I mentioned before, it includes plenty of space for daily affirmations, daily intentions, urgent meetings, chores, etc.

However, in my opinion, the most crucial blocks for your daily planning are “Daily Schedule”, “Today”, and “Task”.

Firstly, I’ve been working with a time-blocking schedule for a couple of years.

And I still can’t imagine working in another way.

For this reason, I created a daily schedule database, featuring time slots such as:

  • morning routine
  • daily chore
  • errands
  • school
  • work
  • break
  • me time
  • evening routine

Also, I color-coded them to create a visual way to structure your day with ease.

When creating a time-blocking schedule, it’s important to first understand how long tasks typically take you to complete.

Start by tracking your time for a few days or a week, noting how long each task takes and any distractions or interruptions that occur.

This will help you develop a more accurate sense of how long certain tasks take and how to allocate your time.

Additionally, add an extra 15-30 minutes to that task in your schedule for unexpected delays.

Moreover, create an action plan for each task and break them down into small steps.

If you start feeling overwhelmed, just close the toggles to hide the next steps.

Definitely, keep your to-do list short and set up a reward system to stay motivated.

Free Notion Templates – Tasks Planner

Unquestionably, Notion is a great tool to effectively manage tasks.

For this reason, I created different databases to stay organized and access multiple views.

Firstly, I set up a task dump page by using a board view.

if you’re wondering what a task dump is, basically it’s a brain dump for tasks.

And a brain dump is a simple and effective technique for capturing and organizing all of the thoughts, ideas, and tasks that are floating around in your head.

In other words, the general idea is to take a few minutes to write down everything that’s on your mind.

This process helps to clear your mind and create a sense of focus and direction.

Additionally, I really like to do a task dump, according to life categories.

For this reason, you see boards for school, work, errands, things to buy, and self-care.

After completing a task dump, now you can start working with your ultimate task list.

This is how I recommend working with the “Tasks” template:

1. Do the Task Dump first. The task list will be automatically populated.

2. Then write the potential roadblocks (things that can stop you from doing the task on time).

3. Write the negative and positive consequences of completing the task.

4. Based on this information, prioritize tasks. Remember to delegate or delete tasks you don’t need to do and actually delete these tasks from the list.

5. Set due dates.

Last but not least, I added a calendar view.

A calendar view shows a full month at one time.

All tasks from the task list will be automatically populated.

Additionally, with Notion, you simply gamify the process of forming healthy habits, making it a fun and positive experience.

Basically, you create morning and evening routines to track and monitor your health goals such as exercise, nutrition, or mental health maintenance.

Notion allows you to set up a visual database where you track small wins with a weekly checklist that lets you mark off tasks or goals as they are completed.

Along with a daily routine habit tracker, I created a dashboard for a weekly cleaning schedule and a meal planner.

When it comes to a weekly meal planner, you’re able to quickly and easily come up with your meals.

Simply complete a database including your favorite meals (sorted by categories such as breakfast, lunch, snacks, and meals).

Then you use this database to plan your weekly meals.

Free Notion Templates – Weekly Review

Undoubtedly, doing a weekly review will help you stay on top of your goals and priorities.

Indeed Notion is a great tool for organizing your thoughts and to-do lists, making it a perfect tool for your weekly review.

For this reason, I created a separate page where you reflect on your previous week to improve the next one.

So set aside a specific time each week, assess your progress toward your goals, identify any roadblocks, and make adjustments as necessary.

Review your calendar, task lists, and notes to ensure that nothing falls through the cracks.

Finally, celebrate your wins and take note of any lessons learned to improve your performance in the future.

Also, this free Notion template allows you to follow the weekly reset checklist to prepare for the week ahead.

Free Notion Budgeting Templates

The next Notion page I think it’s crucial for everyone is a budgeting Notion template.

Because this is so a versatile tool, it’s easy to keep track of your money.

However, to keep budgeting as simple as it can be, I created a monthly budget page.

As a result, you can easily track your income and expenses.

Additionally, if you’ve spent more than you should (budgeted), a red dot appears.

It’s a great visual reminder that will help you stick with your monthly budget.

Last but not least, keeping a wishlist is a great strategy to stop impulse buying.

Free Notion Journal Templates

Notion journal

Unquestionably, daily journaling is a powerful tool for self-reflection and personal growth.

In other words, writing in a journal every day allows you to process your thoughts and emotions.

Journaling serves as a form of self-care as well, providing a safe space to express yourself and release any emotions.

Generally, daily journaling has also been shown to reduce stress and improve mental health.

Basically, by setting aside a few minutes each day to write in your journal, you benefit a lot from this simple yet powerful practice.

For this reason, I set up a journaling Notion page.

Not only does it includes a journal, but you can also keep a gratitude log there.

What I like the most about this Notion template is having a designated space for journal prompts.

Definitely using journal prompts makes the entire process a lot easier.

In fact, you’re able to sort prompts according to category (for example, Growth Mindset, Self Love Lifestyle, etc)

Free Notion Goal Planner Templates

Finally, the last Notion template I created is the one for goal setting.

Basically, this page allows you to set your yearly goals and habits in a visual way.

Just use images and words that show actions you’ll take toward them.

Vision Board

Firstly, you start with creating a vision board.

A vision board is a collection of images, quotes, and affirmations that represent your dreams and desires.

Just gather a variety of images and words that inspire you and represent your vision for the future.

By regularly looking at your vision board and visualizing your goals, you can stay motivated and focused on achieving your dreams.

A Letter To My Future Self

Secondly, write a letter to your future self.

In this letter, you write about your current hopes, dreams, and goals as if they’re all already accomplished.

In other words, as you write, imagine yourself in the future, living the life of your dreams.

Definitely, writing a letter to your future self helps you visualize and manifest your future goals

By writing as if your goals have already been accomplished, you tap into the power of positive thinking and visualization.

Basically, it’s a powerful exercise for clarifying your aspirations and identifying the steps you need to take to make them a reality.

When you read the letter in the future, you may be surprised by how much you have achieved and how far you have come.

Yearly Goals Planner

Thirdly, set your yearly goals.

Remember to keep your goals specific and include your “why”, reward, start, and due dates.

Also, create an action plan, breaking this big goal into smaller steps to avoid feeling overwhelmed.

Building New Habits

Last but not least, think about building new healthy habits.

According to the book “Atomic Habits” by James Clear, building new habits is a process that involves four key steps: cue, craving, response, and reward.

The cue is the trigger that initiates the habit, such as a specific time of day or a certain location.

The craving is the desire or motivation to perform the habit, which can be strengthened by connecting the habit to a positive outcome.

The response is the habit itself, which should be small, specific, and achievable.

Finally, the reward is the positive outcome or benefit that reinforces the habit and encourages repetition.
