We’ve all got those habits we know are good for us, but somehow, we just can’t seem to stick with them.
For the longest time, I was no exception.
From struggling to drink enough water to skipping exercise more often than not, I used to be a pro at NOT following through with my glow-up journey.
And I know I’m not alone here.
But guess what?
Things have changed.
Now here comes the best part.
It’s never too late to start adding small, positive changes to your daily routine, making it easier to stick to healthier habits in the long run.
My new 2026 digital planner will definitely help you stay on track.
Today, I’m excited to share how I turned things around.
Here are the five habits I no longer suck at and the strategies that helped me get there.
The story starts the night before when I’m getting ready for bed…

1. Getting the 8 hours of sleep my body craves, so I stop dreading the alarm clock each morning.
Because I always tend to procrastinate my bedtime, I designed a sleep schedule to ensure I get 8 hours of rest. It’s been working out great for me.

But something was wrong.
You know that feeling when you just can’t wind down because your mind is racing a mile a minute?
Well, I felt like I was trapped in a whirlwind of thoughts, unable to find the off switch.
But THERE IT WAS, right on the top shelf of my boho dresser. The rescue.
My notebook.
However, you can use note-taking pages that you can find along with my new 2026 digital planner.
So I started writing down my thoughts. This helped calm my mind and prepared me for sleep.
If right now you’re thinking, what if it doesn’t work, here are two alternatives I use from time to time.
Firstly, I listen to my favorite podcasts.
Because English isn’t my first language, I can relax without overloading my brain.
Secondly, visualization has also become a powerful tool.
Seriously, imagining my future self in my dream life makes me feel calmer.
And I fall asleep.
Then my alarm clock gently wakes me up, and without hesitation, I…

2. Staying effortlessly hydrated throughout the day, because drinking enough water shouldn’t feel like a chore.
I drink a glass of water first thing in the morning.
Staying hydrated is so important for your overall well-being.
You’re probably thinking, “Sure, Anna, but what if I forget to drink water?”
Well, drinking water is as boring as watching paint dry.
I make it fun by adding fruit ice cubes (ice cubes TikTok is one of my ultimate favorites – they are so satisfying).
Also, I got a cute water bottle I enjoy using. I have “water” buddies, so when we’re screaming “water check”, we need to take a sip (or two).
Last but not least, I use a water tracker.
You can use a simple habit tracker, included in my 2026 digital planner.

3. Soaking up that daily sunlight for an instant mood-boosting dose of natural happiness.
After my morning glass of water, I open the blinds to catch some sunlight.
This small step makes a big difference in mood and energy levels. See what I mean?
Then I prepare my mat, EarPods, and (yes!) water bottle to…

4. Get moving & feel the joy of making my body my best companion.
Maybe you’re like me.
You say, “I want to move more but…” There’s always a “but” that causes one simple thing.
A sense of failure.
To be brutally honest, the main obstacle is usually our mindset.
For example, when I really don’t feel like getting my body moving, I tell myself I’ll do something for just 5 minutes.
In 90% of cases, after 5 minutes, I continue the workout because the hardest part is starting.
And the best part?
I’ve never regretted a workout. My future self is always grateful that I did it.
Also, I experimented with different physical activities until I found what I enjoyed.
Yoga became my go-to. I started with just 5 minutes a day, gradually increasing the time.
In time, yoga turned the basic stretching activity into a lifestyle.
The question on your mind is probably: What about missing days? Did missing days demotivate me?
No, it didn’t because I used an undated monthly fitness tracker you can find in a 2026 digital planner.
In other words, instead of dates, I tracked progress so I didn’t get discouraged when missing a day or week.
After my yoga session, I enjoy my breakfast on my balcony, which led us to habit number five—>

5. Making nutritious meal choices while freeing up more time to relax.
Still with me? So let’s continue, shall we?
Deciding what to eat and sticking to healthy choices was overwhelming.
Meal planning and prepping made a huge difference.
I followed dietitians on social media for healthy product recommendations and easy meal ideas.
I also started making my meals aesthetic.
After all, we eat with our eyes first.
Indeed, this made healthy eating more enjoyable and satisfying.
Including snacks as part of my main meals helped me stop unnecessary snacking.
After my aesthetic breakfast, I usually have an hour before my first coffee (love), so I use this time to (again)…

4a. (Again) get moving & feel the joy… You know the drill
Also, after my yoga session and a nutritious breakfast, I used the time before my first coffee to go for a walk.
Basically, it quickly became a consistent part of my routine, making sure I got some fresh air and cleared my mind for the day ahead.
These small changes have made a big impact on my life.
So, by taking a holistic approach, stacking habits, and making them fun, I turned what used to be struggles into enjoyable parts of my daily routine.
If I can do it, you can too!
In other words, start small, be consistent, and watch how these habits transform your life.
So, am I right or am I right?
